BSLBATT App Privacy Policy
BSL NEW ENERGY TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD (“BSLBATT,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect personal information when you use the BSLBATT App, and how you may exercise your privacy rights.
1. Scope
This Policy applies to the BSLBATT App and features such as account registration and access, site and battery-device binding, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi setup, device operating-data display, messages and fault alerts, the AI assistant, image uploads, and version updates. Third-party websites and services are governed by their own privacy policies.
2. Information We Collect or Process on Your Device
| Category | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Account and profile information | Account details, email address, name, company, profile image, and information you voluntarily provide may be used for registration, email verification, authentication, profile display, and account management. |
| Site, device, and battery information | Device serial number, site name and address, site image, device identifier, model, firmware version, operating status, charge and discharge data, and fault alerts may be used for device verification and binding, status display, operating analysis, and after-sales support. |
| AI assistant information | Questions you submit, the selected device serial number and system type, conversation identifiers, and generated answers may be used to answer questions with device context and maintain the current conversation. This information may be processed by an AI service provider acting for us to generate a response. Do not enter unnecessary personal or sensitive information in your questions. |
| Mobile-device, network, and log information | Device model, operating system, App version and version code, network information, IP address, access time, request data, and fault logs may be used for version checks and to secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Services. |
| Nearby-device and Wi-Fi information | When you grant permission and use setup features, the App processes nearby Bluetooth-device information, Wi-Fi names (SSIDs), signal strength, and security type to find and connect to devices, select a network, and configure communication modules. |
| Photos and files | Processed only when you choose to capture, select, or upload them, including profile images, site images, and firmware files, for profile display, site management, or local device firmware updates. |
To maintain your session and settings, the App stores a login credential, an account you choose to remember, language settings, a guest-status flag, and certain Bluetooth-device settings locally on your phone. The current “remember account” feature does not store your password. You can manage this local data by signing out, clearing the App cache, or using your system settings.
Please avoid uploading sensitive content, such as identification documents, payment-card details, or health information, unless strictly necessary. You may decline to provide information that is not required, although some features may then be unavailable.
3. Device Permissions
- Bluetooth and nearby devices: Used to find and connect to batteries or communication modules, read device status, configure network settings over Bluetooth, or perform local firmware updates.
- Location: Some operating systems require location permission and location services to scan nearby Bluetooth devices or Wi-Fi networks. The App uses this permission to obtain Wi-Fi scan results and does not use this feature to continuously track your location.
- Camera: Used to scan a device QR code and, when you choose, capture a profile or site image.
- Photos and files: Used when you choose to read and upload a profile or site image, recognize a QR-code image, or select a local firmware file for a device update.
- Local network and Wi-Fi information: Used to read the connected Wi-Fi name, scan available networks, and find or communicate with devices on the local network.
You can manage or withdraw permissions in your device settings. Withdrawal does not affect processing performed before withdrawal, but it may prevent related features from working.
The Wi-Fi name and password you enter are sent over Bluetooth to the connected device only after you confirm setup. Under the App's current implementation, the Wi-Fi password is not uploaded to BSLBATT servers.
